The fact is that most businesses fail. So that means if you want to succeed, you’ve gotta do what most business owners don’t do.
What are some of these things? Well, for one, most business owners in the first few years of business don’t understand their numbers (but you can bet that business owners in their 8th, 9th, 10th year do).
This means that if you want to succeed, you’ve gotta know your numbers. I mean, all aspects of your business need to be running smoothly and efficiently for you to have a successful business that withstands the test of time–one of those aspects is accounting whether you like it or not.
I can guarantee you that you will never regret understanding your numbers–in fact, you’ll regret not understanding them.
Another thing that I think is really important for success is to get rid of this information overload. You’ve gotta sift through all the bullshit so that you can get to the good stuff. Stop listening to everyone, stop getting advice from everyone–and start listening to only the experts.
